Description

My Bleach OC, lieutenant thanks to Tousen's desertion and...of course, skill.

Prepare yourself for a long ass bio. :D And...this took me all night, and I surprisingly like it! Yay me. Comments please~
------------------

Gender: Female
Age: 136, though she appears to look 17
D.O.B: June 16th
Blood type: AB-
Height: 5’3”
Weight: 110lb
Skin Color: Caucasian
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Emerald Green
Occupation: Soul reaper.
Mod Soul: Mako, who is sealed inside a stuffed white kitten doll. Mako is quite frankly a bitch whom likes to run off the moment she inhabits Keiko’s Gigai.
Race: Human Spirit
Division: Ninth (Previously 3rd seat of 6th division)
Seat Number: Lieutenant
Zanpakuto's Name: Seidan (Star Cluster)
Spirit: A white, phoenix-like bird composed of holy fire.
Release: Honomeku, Seidan! (Glimmer, Seidan)
**Release 2: Umarekawaru, Seidan! (Resurge, Seidan): Utilized after losing her ability to summon Seidan through normal means. The concept of ‘rebirth’ stems from her Zanpakuto’s spirit, which takes the form of a white phoenix.

Sealed State Appearance: Much like a normal katana with a white hilt wrap, which is emblazoned with flecks of silver. The base of the katana also sports a small train of silver rope with opal beads attached all throughout. The blade’s guard is shaped like an eight-pointed star, though the appearance is divided into two plates, each aligned to fill each other’s gaps while creating eight points.

Shikai Appearance: When called upon, Seidan becomes a fairly large shuriken reminiscent of a steel hoola hoop. Along the edge of the blade, there are three wing-like obstructions in the metal, which follow a triangular method of placement. These stylized wings jut outwards from the base ring, forming three ‘feather’ points that act as a serration edge in combat. The blade of the ring itself is dull inside whilst maintaining a sharp exterior, allowing Keiko to hold it and swing it around without injuring herself.

Shikai Abilities: Apart from being used as an offensive throwing weapon or close-range guard, Keiko can manipulate her Shikai’s form in a variety of different ways. Her physical style however relies on speed and Kidou to keep her out of harms way while taking shots from a well-calculated distance.

--Issuinoyume (Dreamless): Possibly her biggest saving face, Keiko can slip inside the shuriken while in motion or stationary, and create a sort-of invisible force field around her body, which is fueled by the blade. The field itself is incredibly similar to the Kyoumon ability because it acts like a mirror, keeping external attacks out (for the most part) whilst leaving itself fragile from within. While she cannot attack from inside the barrier, she is protected while it’s in use, which gives her the opportunity to bide her time and wait for the perfect outlet for an attack. She can also use this skill in reverse, which creates a field around a single enemy with upturned schematics—the field will be incredibly difficult to break from within, but easy to shatter from the outside.

--Yoarashi (Night Storm): Seidan’s main, in fact only, line of offense apart from physical hack and slash. The blade itself is engulfed in white fire, causing anything that is touched by it to be burned quite severely. If the battle is short enough, Keiko can use this enchantment for the duration of the fight, though it is not recommended to over use during longer, more trying battles, seeing as it tends to drain a lot of energy over time.

**Release 2: After the initial loss of her abilities, Keiko finds herself unable to release any level of her Zanpaktou. Because of this, she allows the twisted Mayuri Kurotsuchi to ‘reconstruct’ both her soul chain and soul sleep to remove the strain nullifying her powers. During such time, Mayuri kills her ‘accidentally’ during the procedure, but is able to bring her back at the last moment following the restoration of her powers.

Shikai Appearance: During her renewed release, Keiko’s shikai takes a slightly different form. While it still retains the appearance of a shuriken, the metal used to coat it is golden in appearance, as opposed to its prior silver color. In this form, her shikai is faster than it had been in the past, and appears to be permanently bathed in Yoarashi’s power.

Shikai Abilities: Apart from her original abilities, Keiko is able to utilize one new skill.

--Tenchuu Shichi (The 7 Pillars Supporting Heaven): “Heavenly glow, bathe this world in your purity so that it may renew itself in tempered prayer. Bestow upon them your virtuous light and envelop these shadows, for your kind and patient words will persevere. Let darkness be humbled through your power. Tenchuu Shichi!” As a final effort, Keiko is able to split her shuriken apart into seven separate pieces, each piece of metal held together by the power of Yoarashi to form a complete, widened circle. From here, Keiko can use the light to bind her opponent, and release a point-blank explosion of white, fire-like reiatsu.

Bankai Name: Hibashira Seidan (Blazing Column of Stars)

Bankai Appearance: Once released into Bankai, her shuriken becomes large enough to encompass both Keiko and her enemies, creating a field similar to Tousen’s bankai without the adverse sensory effects. The area within the field is bathed in darkness, small, twinkling white balls scattered throughout the skyline. The balls themselves are palm-sized throwing Shurikens bathed in white flame, which she can control from the depths of the shadows.

Bankai Abilities:

Nagaraeboshi (Shooting Star): When Keiko is weakened or aiming to end the battle quickly, she can utilize this ability. All of the small shurikens combine into one giant, spike-laden ball, which is hurdled towards the enemy at tremendous speeds, much like an actual shooting star. Because all of the stars have been condensed into one, this attack is incredibly powerful, and incredibly draining.

Ryuuseiu (Meteor Shower): To overwhelm the defense of an opponent, Keiko can shift to this ability. This aligns every ‘star’ in a spherical formation around her opponent, which then collapses into them from every possible angle, leaving no blind spots and no chance to escape.

Gen’you (False Glitter): The stars scatter completely, thousands of tiny shurikens glimmering throughout the darkness. Keiko can control the blades at will, allowing her to shred opponents at a distance and break through almost any defense. While she can control the ‘stars’ with her mind alone, using her hands allows her to do so more effectively, making the shurikens move twice as fast.

**Release 2: After their renewal, Keiko’s Bankai essentially remains the same except she does not require a field in which to situate her attacks, making it just a little bit more similar to Byakuya’s Senbonzakura. During this release, if she does not utilize any field, her strength is directly proportional to the time of day it is. While darkness tends to magnify her attack, daylight seems to weaken it.

**Sabanhakei (Third Power Release) Release Notes:

During her ‘acquired’ third release, Keiko’s weapon returns to the form of a regular katana, as it is her body that absorbs the ‘changes’ of this release. When released “Tenkou Seidan (Queen of Heaven and Stars)”, forms two regular sized wings upon her back, each one composed of a white fire despite their angelic appearance. Keiko's hair also becomes blonde during this release. Her clothing becomes much more revealing, though she retains the cut off bell sleeves she seems to be obsessed with. The only real difference in her katana is the fact that the hilt wrap is much longer than the katana itself, and ensnares itself on her sleeves allowing her to hold the blade without actually grasping the hilt. Her clothing retains a mix of black and white colouring, focusing more heavily on the white aspects. In this form, she only wears a small tube top accompanied by the standard hakama pants and obi. Presumably, her nearly shirtless look is to allow the wings to obtain better movement. Speed and reiatsu control are heavily increased while her physical combat abilities are noticeably improved as well. While her power slightly exceeds that of Tiron (current 3rd seat of the Makura forces thanks to Receto (former 3rd's) and Shino (former 4th's) deaths.), she has an incredibly difficult time controlling it. This form tends to magnify more than just power, as it often lends itself to super charging emotional input. To put it simply, it becomes very easy to become lost in your own head, thereby making the release itself incredibly unstable.

--Yuumei Shuusoku (Convergence of Dark and Light): Essentially, a careful mix of cero and Kidou that appears as a swirling ball of black and white reiatsu. The attacks marks the convergence of both her original powers and those acquired through her ‘rebirth’, and holds destructive power proportional to the amount of reiatsu poured into the attack. Unless dodged, the energy ball cannot be negated.

--Mashiro Shinsei (Pure White Nova): A powerful amount of reiatsu is poured into the blade of her katana, creating a whitish fire that ultimately consumes the metallic edge just beyond the Tsuka. By swinging the blade while it is in this state, she is able to release a heavy wave of white reiatsu towards her opponent, which is able to both blind and plow through opponents.

--Guro-Suta-Ta (Glow Starter): A faster and stronger version of her bankai which is always active whether she chooses to utilize it or not. The ‘star’s’ themselves tend to follow cues given by her Zanpakuto’s position, though she can utilize her mind to deviate from this path as well, allowing her to lure enemies into a false sense of security.

Kidou:

Original:
--Bakudo #80, Kouki Seidou (Final Sanctuary): Stars in heaven, shine your light upon this darkness. Devour that which contradicts the light with earnest, gently rock these shadows; amend them within your kingdom’s womb. Bakudo #80, Kouki Seidou!

Effect: A master level binding technique that creates a white box around an opponent, trapping them within an alternate dimension. Escaping depends solely on one’s power level, and can take anywhere from 3 hours to 3 months if not released.

--Bakudo #59, Gouhou Sawru (Hindered Fate): Fates, spin your web, let life flow through each glittering string. Reject those that oppose you, for they will never be worthy of your polished existence. Bakudo #59, Gouhou Sawru!

Effect: An advanced technique that forms a barrier capable of repelling physical attacks, Kidou up to level 70, and mid-class Cero techniques.

--Bakudo #39, Amatsu Fuchi (Heavenly Abyss): Azure skies, heed my humble plea. Lay your majesty down before mine enemies, so that they may feel your merciful grace, live within it, and drown amidst a world of perfect fantasy. Bakudo #39, Amatsu Fuchi!

Effect: A basic illusionary technique that causes those inflicted to become trapped in their most precious and beloved memories. To escape means the destruction of the very things they value most.

--Hadou #86, Hakumei Koukyoukyoku (Twilight Symphony): A dance cloaked in darkness, bathed in twilight’s glow. Lend me your freedom, your power, and your light so that you may continue your symphony. Hadou #86: Hakumei Koukyoukyoku!

Effect: This technique forms a thin beam of deep purple energy fired in a fashion similar to a laser. When it comes in contact with something material, it will simply create an explosion. If it comes in contact with a soul however, the reiatsu will take their form, creating a doppleganger that can be used against them.

--Hadou #20, Shinjukou (Pearl Iridescence): Spectral shimmer, calming skies, release your rage upon this world. Light these empty skies with your power. Hadou #20: Shinjukou!

Effect: A technique that creates a wave of white, spectral-tinted reiatsu that occupies a wide area, making it difficult to avoid. Fortunately, it isn’t incredibly powerful.

Canon:
--Shunpo (Flash Step): A high-level Shinigami art that allows the user/Shinigami to "warp" one's self (entire body) to another place.
--Bakudou #61 - Rikujoukourou ("Six staves of binding light"): Movement of the opponent is bound by six bands of light.
--Shunko (Flash Cry): Creates a grey electrical reiatsu around the user, which enhances their ability to use hand-to-hand combat. Able to move faster, as it creates large gusts of wind, it punctuates punches and can be fired off in long arcs to harm an opponent without moving.
--Hadou #73 - Soren Sokatsui: Soren Sokatsui (twin lotus blue fire, crash down): A more powerful version of Sokatsui (blue fire, crash down), firing off a double blast instead of one. These jets can hit 2 opponents, or combine to deal more damage.
--Utsusemi (cicada, molting): Moving with incredible speed, they leave behind an afterimage, which is exactly alike them, which vanishes when they reappear; making them seem faster than they actually are. It is possible to use it to get to one point, stab an opponent, then go straight back to your afterimage without it vanishing; making it seem like you hurt them without moving. The afterimage could be noticed due to the fact it is unaffected by nature: rain will go though it, and it does not breathe.

*As well as most basic Kidou*

Personality: Keiko is somewhat of a strange individual when truly examined. While she tends to be incredibly friendly and personable to most individuals, yet she can be provoked into rage quite easily if one knows which buttons to push. Easily amused and mildly mischievous, Keiko gets bored easily and tends to have a wavering attention span. Thankfully, when the situation calls for it, she can be incredibly mature, and will work herself to death simply to prove herself useful. Her time is generally divided between training, missions, and miscellaneous endeavors, though at times she will take breaks to simply chat. She loves being around people, and tends to get depressed easily when alone. Her general philosophy involves avoiding leaving a minute free to herself, because doing so would force her to face her past. In the very least, as long as you don’t touch her necklace, she’s generally pretty easy to get along with.

Strengths: Long-range combat, agility and dexterity.
Weaknesses: Close-range combat and physical strength.
Likes: People, Music, over-working, long walks, video games, comedy, shoes and candy.
Dislikes: Liars, Those who take life for granted, doing nothing, obnoxious people, sleep.
Theme Song: Rebirthing, Skillet

History: Born in the 60th district of East Rukongai, Keiko was blessed with one of the only wealthy families in the area, a fact that simply screamed good fortune. Surrounded by a vast population of much poorer individuals, she was able to flaunt her silver spoon heritage and eat with it too—though at the time she had little need for food. During her early years, she slowly became disheartened by her situation, finding her sheltered little life to be quite hollow and incomplete. While she loved her parents dearly, they had little time to spend with their daughter, though they seemed to find enough of it to lecture her on the dangers of assimilation with other members of the district.

Keiko was bored, and such feelings quickly led to missions of ‘relief’. She would constantly leave home to explore the district on her own, attempting to find something of value beyond polished porcelain and fancy clothes. Eventually, she would come to befriend several of the locals who led her to discover a hidden ability within herself that had been previously unexplained. Though she had still been fairly young, the development of her reiatsu seemed to happen fairly quickly, and like most children would do, she utilized it for mischief behind her family’s back. Friends fueling the fire, Keiko and company had managed to massacre many a public wall, and injure quite a large sum of the districts ‘rude’ population. Either way, she was incredibly happy with the way things were; but change is inevitable.

Eventually, her parents had discovered her exploits and had imposed newer, more stifling rules upon their daughter than ever before. Of course, rules didn’t appear to mean anything to Keiko, and she was just as quick to break the newly imposed rules, as her parents were to make them. Unfortunately, on one of their trips, she was separated from her friends and became lost in the neighboring districts. After wandering for hours, she eventually found herself in an even more hopeless state than when she had begun in the first place. Exhausted and disheartened, she came to rest against a small stone enclosure that lined the outer end of the 65th district.

It took a few minutes for her composure to settle, but when it had, Keiko had looked up; her place upon the ground directly lined up with an alleyway jutting between two large buildings. In the beginning, she simply ignored the passageway on account of the darkness it seemed to be engulfed in. Slowly however, several figures came into focus, and for a split second, she recognized one of the faces from within the blackness. It was her father! Excited and thankful, she had jumped to her feet with ardor and a pleasantly zealous attitude, rushing towards the alleyway with all of her strength. When she arrived, she wouldn’t like what she would see…

After the initial hellos, Keiko’s eyes had come to rest on the corner of the passage, a limp body resting against an upturned dumpster. The corpse had been missing its head, though the body seemed oddly familiar. After questioning her father on the subject, the man seemed to crack a smile, ruffle her hair quite gently, and shake his head, “sweetie, mommy’s gone away for a while. You’ll see her soon, I promise.” Keiko had thought long and hard about everything before the puzzle slowly pieced itself together. When she glanced towards her father again, she noticed the blood dripping from his idle hand- and the dangling head of what had been her mother.

All she could to was run.

By the time she stopped running, she had landed herself in the 79th district, and would be forced to fend for herself in a world composed of thieves and murderers, the only memory of her mother resting inside a small bejeweled pendant clasped firmly around her neck. She would make it into Sereitei if it killed her…

And it almost did, though she eventually found herself admitted into the academy, graduating into the sixth division after two short years. From there, she spent many years training her mind and body with in sixth, securing a third seat position before Tousen’s initial desertion. When Hisagi had been promoted to the rank of captain, there had been another vice-captain in immediate waiting to take that place. Unfortunately, due to an unfortunate accident, that vice-captain was removed from service temporarily and she was convinced by Renji Abarai to transfer from her current squad to 9th to fill his absence.

Extra: She secretly totes around pilfered things from the human world to Sereitei, like her ipod. <3
